~ What Parents Should Know About Immunization For Their Baby ~

Immunization Will Protect Your Baby Against Dangerous Diseases
Immunizations protect babies from serious diseases which can make them very ill, cause permanent damage, or even result in death.
Babies Need All of Their Shots to be Protected
One shot is not enough to protect your baby. You must get your baby the full series of shots.
The Series is Simple
Baby shots are needed by the time your baby is 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 12 months, and 15 months of age.
Baby Shots Can be Given at Check-ups and When Your Baby is Sick
Baby shots can be given when your baby has a cold, or is taking antibiotics. There are very few real reasons to avoid giving your baby the needed immunizations. Your doctor or health clinic will decide if any of the baby's shots should be delayed.
The Benefits of Immunizing Your Baby Outweigh Any Risks
Parents with a sick baby have to drop other priorities, such as work, to rush a sick baby to the doctor's office for care. A baby with an illness like whooping cough or rotavirus must spend time in a hospital. The little time spent taking your baby in for baby shots to prevent these illnesses will prevent your baby from suffering needlessly. Also, you won't need to miss work because of one of these preventable diseases.
